He uses nature such as sea waves and clouds to signify the complex nature of human emotions & behaviours. The natural formation of sea waves and clouds are just like the analysis of our human emotions –anger, fear, jealousy, anxiety that are difficult to identify. The reflections of our emotions are intimately linked to our mental state of mind that eventually becomes the character of our emotion. Chang Bum had beautifully executed the emotion of the waves and clouds in his ink series with solemn but yet explosive moods that with amazing energy. |
