Lee's exhibition begins with a series based on Formula One cars and pit crews in action, and ends with his new Mirage series, exploring the uncertain and transitory nature of post-modern life.
Illusions such as mirages offer a special magic. We see something. That’s visual information. But often we only think we see: perhaps a visual effect that isn’t a real object, a real object in one place, when it’s actually in another, or an event that evokes a visual memory.
Often, real things we see are transitory. Obviously, vehicles come and go- that’s their purpose. Less obviously, cities come and go, as when a new dam in Tuscany creates a lake in the place people once called home, or when a continent subsides.

Trained in Singapore and the USA, Lee draws on the properties of materials to capture complex interactions among the elements.
