TROPICAL LAB - The International Art Camp is into its 6th year running at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore. This intensive and highly engaging fourteen-day event will bring together more than 20 postgraduate students from leading art institutions around the world. Tropical Lab is a creative space for students to research and collaborate to create contemporary art works for the final exhibition curated by Dr. Charles Merewether, Director of the Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore.

The subject of this year’s Tropical Lab is Land. The subject of land has always been an area of exploration within artistic practices throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. The students will be exposed to various themes and interpretations of land such as an underground tunnel tour, visiting sustainable farms, and even a boat ride to explore Pulau Ubin.
