Handsome: IVSG presents 12 artists exploring representations of gender and masculinity through a collective installation curated by Marla Bendini. The theme ‘handsome’ is inspired by Robert Mapplethorpe’s work, which often pairs objectionable content with some of the most beautiful images in contemporary art.

Handsome: IVSG is presented by rainbowartsproject, a project dedicated to the development of LGBT-related artworks in forms of exhibition, documentation, research and collection. rainbowartsproject recently presented “Queer Creatures” curated by Kelvin Atmadibrata in Supermarket 2012, Stockholm.
