About SAGG

The Singapore Art Gallery Guide (SAGG) is the first and most comprehensive guide to the art and cultural institutions of Singapore. Established in 2004, SAGG is a publication that began with the vision of making the arts in Singapore a more enriching experience. The monthly guide offers a wide-ranging talk about the arts, not limited to the visual arts but also encompassing forms of the performing arts, film and photography, in addition to providing comprehensive information about art galleries, performance centres, artists, exhibitions and events in town.

How often is the Singapore Art Gallery Guide published?
SAGG print issues are published every month, except during the summer holiday period (June & July) as well as around Chinese New Year (January & February), for which we combine two months into one issue. In total, SAGG is printed 10 times a year: Jan/Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun/Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec.

What is the size of the publication?
It's a pocket sized publication (11. 5 x 21 cm) and easy to carry with you when visiting the galleries.

Which art genres are published inside SAGG?
Although the Singapore Art Gallery Guide (SAGG) started with a focus on the visual arts, it soon became necessary to include performing arts. Today we cover visual arts, theatre, dance, music, film and literature.

Where can I get individual copies?

With the free registration you can rate or comment articles, exhibitions and venues, browse our archives and subscribe to the weekly email newsletter.

What is the newsletter about?
In our weekly newsletter we list art events like workshops, performances, tours, talks etc. but also remind you of exhibitions opening or finishing within the next seven days. Continuing exhibitions are not listed in the newsletter, but you can find them in the ‘exhibitions’ section of our website. We send out the free newsletter every Thursday at 4 pm by email.

How can I subscribe to the newsletter?
In order to receive our weekly email newsletter, please register online following this link . After you click the ‘send registration’ button, we will send you an email to verify your data. Click on the link in that email to activate your account. Now you can login any time. After login, click on ‘Newsletter’ in the user menu to start subscribing to our newsletter. In order to unsubscribe, just click the same box again.

How can I promote art events inside the newsletter?
If you book the ONLINE ONLY LISTING, your activities will be available both on our website as well as inside the newsletter. Please be aware that only special events as well as beginning and ending exhibitions will be published inside the newsletter.

If you book a REGULAR WEBBANNER it will be published on every page of our website as well as inside each newsletter to the right of the main contents.

Which options are available to promote my art activities inside SAGG?
Depending on your needs and budget, make your choice between:
ONLINE ONLY or ONLINE & PRINT:
a) If you choose ONLINE ONLY, your activities shall be published on our website as well as inside our weekly email newsletter.
b) If you choose ONLINE & PRINT, in addition to website and newsletter, your details will also appear inside SAGG’s print issues.
Furthermore you can select the perfect length of time for your publicity:
ONE ISSUE, ONE YEAR, TWO YEARS:
a) If you have events happening occasionally only, we are happy to promote it for a particular issue only.
b) If you already manage to make a living from your art activities, save with a yearly promotion.
c) If you are a serious player in the local art scene with a long grown client base, you might want to sign up for two years and make significant savings.
We offer these avenues to promote your activities: LISTING, ARTICLE, FULL PAGE AD and WEB BANNER AD.

Covering the Basics, how does the LISTING work?
With the booking of the LISTING we create an account on our website for you to provide, update and share information about
a) your venue with contact details and your art focus,
b) art exhibitions organized by you,
c) one time art events like opening receptions, guided tours, talks, workshops etc.,
d) details about artists being featured by you. Inside our print issues we can only list the names of up to ten of your artists, on our website here are no limitations to list all artists with detailed information including picture.

How to provide ARTICLES for publication inside SAGG?
Articles enhance your reputation, work as reminders for your established clientbase and inspires new ones to take the opportunity and get in touch with you. To have your article published inside SAGG make your booking at least six weeks in advance. Before sending material, please read or download our guidelines for ARTICLES .

How to publish VIDEOS on SAGG?
If you use videos to promote your events, workshops or artworks on youtube or vimeo etc, we are happy to also publish here. Find out the details on how to publish VIDEOS on sagg .

How can I book my favorite advertising option?
The easiest way to choose your publicity options is by clicking  'Advertise' from the top navigation menu.

What are the Terms and Conditions?
The Singapore Art Gallery Guide (SAGG) is published by Rene Daniels. Please pay within 21 days after invoice by cheque or money transfer to Rene Daniels. Interest accrued at 1.5% per month thereafter. In the event of an error, the Publisher’s liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the issue with the error. The Publisher will not assume responsibility for color matching and is not liable for delays in delivery or for non-delivery or any condition affecting production or delivery in any manner. The Insertion order will be renewed automatically for the same price and duration as previously ordered, unless it is cancelled 2 months prior to the end of the contract period
