miscellaneous info Born in 1952 in Cesena, Italy, Leonardo Lucchi lives and works in his hometown. Having studied at the Art School of Ceramics in Faenza, he graduated in 1970. He has participated in multiple exhibitions, both solo and group, across Europe.
During the 1980s, he took part in various editions of the exhibition "Biennale Giovani". He also had personal exhibitions in Ravenna (1980), Riccione (1981), Modena (1988) and Rome (1988). Returning to Rome in 1991, he held a personal exhibition there then subsequently exhibited in London, at the Accademia Italiana delle Arti e delle Arti Applicate. At the same time, he organized an exhibition of his works in a restored 18th century Fishmonger.
In 1992 he exhibited in Venice, San Marco (Studio d'Arte Equus), which was followed by another in Rovigo, at Palazzo Roncale. Two years later, he was found in France, at the Galerie des Quais, Besancon; and eventually in 1995, he held an exhibition in Paris, at Galerie Sanguine, La Rochelle.
His sculptures are made from materials such as bronze, terracotta, marble and gold. Remarkably life-like, they strike a resounding chord with many of his collectors for their sensitivity to emotions and expressions.
